Stamp Duty Holiday Extended

Following the official Spring Budget announcement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, the Stamp Duty Holiday has officially been extended.

Originally introduced last July, the scheme was due to finish on 31 March, however with this latest announcement you now have until 30 June to save on purchases up to £500,000.

But it won’t stop there, there may still be opportunities to save until the end of September.

Other announcements in the Spring Budget include:

  • Furlough has been extended until the end of September.
  • There will be no changes to rates of income tax, national insurance or VAT.
  • Personal income tax allowance to be frozen at £12,570 from 2022 to 2026.
  • Higher rate income tax threshold to be frozen at £50,270 from 2022 to 2026.
  • Corporation tax on company profits will rise from 19% to 25% in April 2023.
